This Web site is a resource for those individuals who respond to emergency situations involving pathogens from either man-made or natural sources. These situations could include outbreaks of food-borne illnesses, chemical spills, or disease epidemics.

This site offers training and resources that can help first responders gain better problem solving and critical-thinking skills. These skills are crucial for first responders dealing with emergency situations. Emergency personnel are often called to make decisions quickly in emotionally driven, complex situations that involve a variety of people and agencies.

These responders may have to defend the choices they make to their superiors, the Media, and even on occasion the general public. It is important that responders make decisions in a logical manner and can clearly explain how they reached those decisions. This site will offer training to do just that - improve problem solving skills and teach how to communicate those decisions to others.
